I recently found out about sculptra, but I am both excited and terrified to use it at the same time.
From risk of nodules, granulations to side effects that can appear 5 years later, can never decide if it is a good idea to use or not.
Another thing I've learned is that sculptra is said to create scar tissue. Now, I know probably you are going to say it is beneath the skin so you don't actually see a scar, but I still don't like the idea of creating scar tissue on my face with each injection. Isn't having a scar tissue a bad thing?
Hmm. I haven't heard about things showing up 5 years later. I know if it's injected too close to the surface or if you have someone do it who's not really experienced and good at it you can get issues, but I hadn't heard about issues showing up 5 years later. Where did you hear this?
Also, what do you mean it creates scar tissue? I have also not heard about how it creates scars under the surface.
Have you looked into using your own fat (analagous fat transfer) as a filler btw? My own personal view is that using something that is already accepted completely by your body seems to make more sense.
