A year ago, I had two cysts between my eyebrows surgically removed, and Im not exactly happy with how these scars have turned out. Theyre not huge, but very deep and I know the area theyre in is very tricky to work with safely. Anyone have advice for treatment options to reduce the appearance of these scars?

My guess is with scars that deep you might end up with excision, sometimes called punch excision. Basically, a surgeon cuts it out and then sews it together, so you get a small, linear scar in place of the one you have.

However, in the meantime, are you doing anything to make sure you don't get any more cysts/nodules? The Regimen should keep them at bay until you grow out of acne.

Is scar revision a good idea? Isnt there a risk of the scar turning out longer and even more prominent?

There's always risk, so that's why you want to proceed with caution, but in the right hands, punch excision can make the scar smaller and less noticeable. You want to only proceed with someone who can show you lots of before and afters of similar scars and with whom you feel very comfortable in their expertise.

Would subcision help my scars?

I have similar scars in my glabella area, but they are worse. I went to Mark Taylor and he wouldn't do punch excision because that area has lots of oil, so the healing wouldn't be the best. I'm 3 weeks post op from taylor liberator subcision & 2 ablative lasers, and I see the least results in my glabella area unfortunately.

That's interesting to hear about the oil and healing stuff. Can you tell us more about what they said about that?

Also, yeah, subcision is not known for producing dramatic results. However, with suction, and in combination with other treatments, it can be a good part of an overall treatment.

What would you advise be if I were to get future cysts in that area? Over the past couple months I have noticed a small bump that has grown over time also in the glabella area. Honestly, Im worried about getting it removed because of how my other scars have healed and depressed/caved. On the other hand Im worried it will keep growing over time and how large it could get. Is there any way to resolve a cyst like I have had in the past without surgical removal?

Cortisone shots can often help. Have you asked your doc about that? However, even cortisone shots can result in indented skin (atrophy). But it's usually temporary so that's good.

try bellafill as you only have one deep scar there. one-two syringes should be able to fix it. plz use one syringe then wait for 3 months see how it turns out.
