Greenway, your first settings were the same as mine. Based on my experience, I would move your mjs to at least 20 and move upt total KJs a bit unless you have darker skin. If you have some deeper scars, do extra passes over these areas. Better yet, ask the Reliant rep on best course of action for your situation. Good luck

hey guys i just finished my 5th fraxel treatment, ive being really happy with the results and alot of pplz have said nice things 🙂 i started in sept 2006

Congratulations! What type of improvements have you gotten from the treatment (pores, scars, tone, texture)? Have you taken any photos? How would you rate your skin n scars now?

Billyboy: Does your surgical scar still hurt if you touch it? Mine does. Do you know what that means? I tried massaging it last night after reading some article about it being beneificial. Do you think it is okay to do that or should I not touch it at all (since i'm doing Fraxel)?

Greenway. Good luck. I am hoping to have a fraxel rep at my next one, which has slowed down the scheduling. I am hoping she will have some insight as to how to optimally treat my situation in my remaining 3. Did fraxel rep say anything importatn that has not been poster here?

MZ. My incisions don't hurt. They were done some time back, but I don't really recall any lasting pain. I was surprised that you mentioned they were still red, as they should normally turn to pink and then become a while scar line. Perhasp you have some inflamation causing the pain,. You should ask your doc becasue it appears you have abnormal healing symptoms.

As far as touching face, they say not to. But, it is easier said than done, as my worst scarring is on sides, so I can only see it with a doulbe mirror set up and I sometimes will pinch the skin to see if I notice any filling in of scars. It is not picking it is just trying to see how the scars look as I can't see them head on. I would guess excess massaging of skin may also lead to laxity, so I would be carfeful about that.

I had my first Fraxel 2 treatment 6 weeks ago and the second one 3 weeks ago. I think the Fraxel is great. My skin has never looked and felt better. I had very large pores and uneven skin tones. My face was very blotchy and I didnt like people to get to close because of the pores on my nose, cheeks and forehead. Now I wouldn't care if you got up in my face because they are almost completely gone. As a little bonus I have tightening around my jawline giving me more definition. My next treatment I have decided to change the settings since my skin is a nice even tone now and the pores are gone. I am going for more tightening next time and can't wait for the results of that.

The day after both of my treatments I was a little red in the face with some minimal swelling. Definately worth every penny they charge for it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I didn't have any scarring. I was just trying to get rid of the blotchy skin and enlarged pores. After the treatments I was a little red for the first day and the second a little pink in the face. After about a week I started to flake with the first treatment, but not with the second one. Now my skin is so smoothe and even its incredible.

I have a friend who had the fraxel done for acne scars and her results were amazing. That is what prompted me to go forward with the treatments. I figured if it could get rid of her scars, it would definately take care of my pores. I am so thankful I did it, because I feel I have more confidence in myself and my appearance.

Yeah okay, I don't think I will massage it again.

Billboy: it was funny because as i'm laying there and they are putting the light blue dye (yes people, he said there is no need to glop it on) he asks how did i learn about fraxel, so i told him that i have been researching in for over a year, and he say's oh, on message boards such as acne org? I started laughing! he then proceeded to pull up this site, he knew exactly how many people looked at this certain section.

When i told him i wanted them to be aggresive on my scared area, he said the beininning is more like a test trial to see how i react, i couldn't really blame him so off we went, i will give you his name if you PM me. If he were not there, i'm not so sure i would be so confident in the process i had. He was great! and so was my doctor!

I'm still super red and unlike the rest of you all, i could see me scaring still, i know some of you said that it was gone the first day, not mine, infact it seemed to pop out more. I'm having minor tiny little white heads which is probably from the aquadafor (spelling) he said that it will most likely happen but he insists on using it. Hopefully tomorrow it will be better. Sorry if i'm posting to much, if you would all prefer, i can just hold it for one big message! bye.

Nope, I haven't had any treatments, but I'm seriously thinking about it now! 😀 Sounds good! (I actually made a post with pictures of my scars once... Some pages back, most likely.)

Well I am a newbie to this site, but I have been reading all the post and I think this site is great. I just scheduled my first Fraxel Treatment for Next friday, the 29th. As soon as I get the chance I am going to take some before pictures and post them up, kind of a disappointment. I noticed a lot of people don't have any pics up. I am going to do 6 sessions, each a month apart... So it'll be kind of a long process.

I'll keep all of you up to date with my progress. Take care! (i'm so excited)...

I might be swayed to have fraxel if I saw some progress pictures. I've thrown enough of my hard earned money on these "godly" skincare products and procedures.

There have been only a small number of members on here who posted their own progress pictures. Anniefrommiami and billyboy were two of them. There was also another guy called florida something, and his were posted on the fraxel website I believe.

You can view photos there.

Does anyone live in Northern California near Fremont? I might move there on February. I would like to continue with Fraxel treatment. I've done search on here and the pricing seems to be expensive. Could someone recommend a doc. for me? Plus has anyone been to Fremont? Is it a decent place to live?

I live in East Bay probably 20 miles from Fremont. Fraxel prices are high here, so you might want to get them done before you move here. Fremont is a fast growing suburb of SF/San Jose with over 200,000+ people now. Great climate, but I do not know much else.

Hi. I have never posted here before, but have been lurking here for a while. This board is the reason I went for the Fraxel. My treatment was 4 full face at 10/250, 15/125, 20/125, 20/125. Two cheeks only 22/125 and 25/125. I am not thrilled with my results. Sure, when I have micro-swelling, I have gotten compliments, but after a week it looks the same. This was with the Fraxel One. It was not money well spent. I had high hopes, but alas, it was another dissappointment. Think twice before you do it. I was encouraged by Anniefrom miami's results, and seeing her pics made me go for it. I would like to hear an update from her.

That doesn't sound good. I am afraid I will be another unlucky one not seeing much improvements. Do u have mild scarring? I really don't think AnniefromMiami had that great of an improvement. The photos from reliant were the only reason I went for this treatment. I liked the photo results from Mmite but we don't hear back from old posters anymore. How long has it been now since your first treatment? I hope you will begin seeing more improvements.

Just have to keep it moisturized and stay out of the sun until it's gone. Some people use hydroquine cream to bleach it away. I think it's normal for some weeks after "resurfacing."

Anyone had luck with stretch marks?

Anniefrommiami i think had very good improvement from the pics.. and she took the pics the way they are suppose to be taken in bad lighting not like some pics i see on this board. i think she had alot of bad texture and fraxel improved that greatly thats why her face looks much better now even tho she prob still has some scars left. but her improvement was very good i think

This guy did dermaroller and fraxel I. He posted a detailed account, supposed to put pictures before/after when he's done.
