It will help with your acne, but will do little for scars, it will help just minor help. I like the jessner/tca mix personally. Even that didnt eliminate my scars though, and mine are very shallow. I am now just treating the scars themselves with tca and then im going to do another jessner/tca mix.
oh man, very shallow??? I'm so confused right now what peels to do for my scars, and i think they're very shallow, i wanna do a 12.5% tca peel for the scarred areas. is it worth the risk?? like is there any chance i might make my scar worse?
12.5% is a very light peel, I really dont see how you could possibly make your scaring worse by useing it. I really feel that you get better results by doing the scars themselves first then doing a full face peel once your scars have reached a point your ok with (I learned this from doing tonz of peels both jessner and tca and still haveing scars)but after treating the scars themselfs for a while then doing the full face peels the results are much more dramatic. I have not used anything above 16% tca and i just recently started this, so the process has been sort of slow but def. notice more of a dif. by treating just the scars first.
I just had my first half stength jessner peel (7%) and only 5 days post. I've got shallow scars, hyperpigmention, and some active acne. So far it's nice cause it's just a little flaking and I think the blackheads on my nose have gotten smaller. My skins seems smoother cause it's tight from being dry, but I definitely don't see any new damage. I agree with the poster that said it probably won't do much harm, if any. Its very light.
I don't think peels will get rid of indented scars just red spots. I have had a sensi peel (it was very strong) . It got rid of a sunspot I had, freckles and red spots. Did nothing for indented scars. Also did a 12.5% TCA on my face and didn't nothing for indented scars. Don't think it will cause more scarring since it is a very light peel.
