Is TCA cross worth it for enlarged/stretched pores?

I've had enlarged pores all over my face for many years now but it's the few stretched/misshapen pores on my nose that bother me the most (see pic). I've read that TCA cross is an option to improve this but also that there is the risk it could make it look worse, through widening the scar. Have people with a similar issue had it done and if so what were the results?

I've had a similar issue with enlarged pores on my T-zone and it's especially bad on my nose, between my forehead and my cheeks. I've done one TCA cross in the past and I did not see any improvement, which made some pores seem wider and more noticeable. I thought it was normal since it takes time for my skin to heal. Four to five weeks in I notice some pores started to connect. Be aware that everyone's faces heal differently and the nose area is one of the hardest places to treat in terms of enlarged pores. There might be some success stories but they are far and few between when it comes to the nose.

Above is correct, some people seemingly react better to TCA cross but having seen it widen/enlargen in person and also having seen outcomes on this board that are not good in certain cases, I would stay away particularly for small pores. The chance to widen/deepen is probably elevated due to the small pore.

My only guess would possible be some sort of peel or laser but don't ask me which since I have the same thing on my cheeks and doctors seem really stupid/inept on helping with more shallow but still unsightly stuff.

Thanks both, that's worth knowing, definitely don't want to make things worse than they already are!

I highly advise against using Tca for pores . The tca will end up making them way bigger and deeper basically turning them into ice pick/box scars . Your better off trying other methods then tca

Check into doctors who perform phenol cross. Its the same application as tca but safer because phenol doesnt cause widening. I have a similar problem that is actually worse than what you have posted. I just did my first session with Scar healing institute on my nose and cheeks. I do notice improvement on my cheeks but hard to tell on my nose. They did mention that I probably wont notice much on improvement on my nose after the first time and itll more likely take more sessions than my cheeks. Once the scar do fill in enough they plan on touching it up with laser to smooth it out. mPosted by: @r-a-rothwellhotmail-co-uk

@asaspades sorry only just seen your reply. Any updates on phenol cross treatment? I've now had a few microneedling sessions which have each time produced instant but unfortunately only temporary and slight improvements.
