I desperately need to see an acne scar specialist in the southern california region. I suffer with severe depression and anxiety due to these scars. I never had any treatment and was told that time would heal them, but its been over 5 years now and I feel like I need to get some work done to them ASAP. Ive waited long enough.

The closest dermatologist to me is Hal Weitzbuch in Calabasas, but I wouldnt mind driving down to Peter Rullan in San Diego if its necessary.

My other option is visiting South Korea, but I would like to see what I could do near my area first before deciding on just flying out to Korea.

I understand the anxiety, I have it too in a major way. No acne scars won't "fade" on their own. Not sure what crazy person told you that. If anything as you age you lose collagen and it looks a bit more murky or depressed in volume over time.

I think you should see Rullan. He seems to have at least some decent advice, pricing and really tries to help fix stuff, that's the gist I get from people who went or discuss on here. Outside of him, traveling to S. Korea for who?

As for procedures I'm not really sure. You're lucky that a lot of it is shallow but that likely doesn't make you happy since you're upset (like me) our texture sucks. I get it but yours has just some moderate texture issues. My face is murky (texture), but if I especially push or pull it at all I get literal orange peel all over. It's driving me insane to be blunt. It's really not good and I think I got it from a steroid some idiot prescribed a while ago. I only say this because getsmart gave me advice which I think he's right, but I'd like to see Rullan too just to get an idea why or how my skin is doing what it's doing especially when I move it. It's not normal.

Those two shallow boxcars on the right side maybe candidates for punch excision and maybe some sort of phenol peel technique or some blending technique (just guessing here check with Rullan).

Best of luck!

No excision needed. If the scar is deep and larger just keep on trimmin the edges. For small deep scars maybe excision can be used but I dont see that you have any. These are very minor scars and not noticeBLE from talking distance only when light hits a certian way then only scars are visible. I would suggest subcision filler and maybe few sessions of cross and erbium together abrasion method see dr rulllan
