I'm scheduled to get microneedling at a medical spa for my acne scars (by a certified physicians assistant). In addition to my rolling / box type scars on my cheeks, they have also recommended that they can try microneedling my flattened keloid scars on my jawline and my shoulders. I've had them flattened with steroid injections but the red color is still there

However I've read that keloid scar prone skin (especially in areas like shoulders and jawline) can react badly to microneedling and form new scars or potentially raise the keloid scars back up. Has anyone gotten microneedling done over their keloid scars? what was the result like?
