Anyone know of any reputable and trusted Dermatology Surgeons in London or the UK who treat tethered, rolling, box, ice pick scars?

I've tried researching online and have only come acrossDr H Consult (Dr Asif Hussein) andDr Firas Al-Niaimi. However a lot of their reviews are negative with quite a few people claiming that they use very aggressive and expensive treatments for depressed scarring with mixed results... A lot of people have recommended Dr Tony Chu, however it appears that he has retired as of December 2019.

A google search seems to indicate that before retiring he recently worked at a private clinic called Skinmedico in Chiswick, London. Apparently a nurse calledJuan Lopez is the founder of this clinic and the clinic claims that he was 'trained by Dr Chu'. Has anyone in London had successful treatments with Juan? I can't seem to find much information or reviews on his acne scarring treatments - apart from 3 videos ontheir instagram page showing him carrying out TCA cross, PRP and Dermapen treatments on some guy (which seem like very low level treatments for the type of scarring I am suffering from).

I'm reluctant to go to a consultation withDr Asif HusseinandDr Firas Al-Niaimas some people regret going to them according to this forum and many comments on their instagram pages. Does anyone know who is the best since Dr Chu retired? Researching into these specialists is exhausting and confusing! I'm just not sure who to put my trust in nowadays and there doesn't seem to be that many UK-based specialists for these specific types of acne scarring!

Best to email a few of them and get some pricing/what they offer.

I'm seeing Dr Anil currently.

Dr H posted on here a while back insulting everyone who said negative things about him.

P.S. I'd avoid anyone who pushes you towards laser, they just want your money.

I just wanted to say please avoid Dr Asif Hussein (drhconsult on Instagram)at all costs, I had fully ablative co2 laser with him and am kicking myself for going through with it, even after a week before having seen him arguing with patients on Instagram about his poor results. A woman reached out to me and said her skin was worse than before, but I was desperate and had been sold a dream by the few Instagram photos he puts upso went ahead anyway. There's a reason you can't leave a review for his practise on Google or real self and that is simply because he avoids reviews.

The appointment was weird, they forgot to get me to sign a consent form and there was no talk of any risks of the procedure on the day, and instead of an aftercare sheet he simply handed me a card with his number on it abs said 'WhatsApp me.' Ive honestly had aftercare explained better to me when getting my eyelashes done.

to be fair he did keep contact at first, however in the last two months (recovery is 6 months) he hardly replies to my texts and when he does they are less than five wordsand I've never had afollow up appointment or been offered one. My results are meh and honestly I'd rather have my 3000 back as they weren't what he promises. He only seems to get good feedback from influencers who are getting the treatment free or discounted. It made me really angry to see one getting a follow up appointment, when I didn't and had actually paid for the treatment. He told me a 70% improvement and it's more like 10%. I'm going to go to DR Tatiana next (also in London) as she's been recommended to me by another one of DR H unhappy patients. It's really wrong in my opinion that he seems to treat influences better and they seem to get a better outcome than his actual paying clients. I'd never return even if he offered to redo my laser for free, should have trusted my gut!

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with him! Thank you for all of the info. I decided to cancel my consultation in the end.

It will be interesting to hear how it goes with Dr Tatiana! Just had a look at her Instagram. Do you know what treatments youll be having with her yet?

Ahh I'm glad! There's honestly so many better DRs to spend your money with, and very weird he claims to be the best in the U.K. at scar improvement but isn't able to back this up with real patient reviews and also claims he's the only person with that machine when he really isn't. (DR Tatiana has one) he's basically a huge liar and I don't know how he gets away with it.No not yet, I haven't seen her yet as putting money aside so I can get the treatment ASAP after consultationbut the other girl I've been talking to who went to Dr Tatiana to correct her poor results from DR H was over the moon with what DR Tatiana did for her.I'm hoping it will be a less invasive laser than DR H used with an easier recovery as I truly did look awful for 5 months after seeing DR H and felt worse about my skin than before as it was so angry looking and red.If you want I update on here when. I've visited her but it probably won't be for a few months!

hope you find a DR you tryst with good reviews from real patients!

I have been searching too!

Have you tried treatment specific?

There are doctors claiming to be the best in acne scar treatment yet you see photos in different lighting and sometimes the face looks like someone else'shaha

This! I almost made this mistake when I was told laser is my best option. So glad that I didn't go through with it

Honestly go to the Marylebone clinic they have dr brazini she offers tca and subcision for an exception price. Do this once a month for about 5 months this will cost you 1250 approximately and mix this with a home tca peel of about 15% do this 2 weeks after the clinic treatment. Over the 5 months you will bring up the scar pits with the tca and subcision while the tca peel will thin the surface and eventually they will meet or become shallower. This will be your most cost effective treatment. And any larger scars go to dr David dunnaway get them excised and then do 3 pixel rf treatments on the resulting surgical scar. You could do all this for less than the price of a Dr H laser. Honestly trust me and the process

Yes but nothing major yet. I haven't been seeing him as often as I should though, will get back to it again soon. His prices are good. Before him I spent 2k on laser with someone else and got0 improvement. I haven't even spent that much money with anil yet and I've done 3 or 4 sessions.

There's only two things I didn't like, tca cross gave me one or two wider scars and I didn't like nokor subcision (temporary hematoma) so asked for cannula only after that.

Well I checked that Dr Firas Al Niaimi, i havent found bad reviews. His IG also looks lot better then dr H. Also looks like he doesnt use Full ablation laser, but Ultra Pulse CO2 from Lumenis which is supposed to be great laser for acne scars. Do you have any bad reviews of that Dr Faris ? Also it looks like he doesnt play that much with lightning and angle.

He also have some impressive before afters on his IG for different skin problems, like redness , rosea , pigment, but when it comes to acne scars, lets face it, all those drs overpromise and underdeliver. They all have mixed results. Acne scars are very hard to improve and improvement is very limited.

Anyone have experience with dr firas alniami or is it too good to be true again??I have some hypertrophic type scars not from acne. Lasers Ive dove so far have either made them worse or only improved the colour somewhat.
