Field Subcision Tips

Im preparing to do a field subcision this week for mild acne scarring (was recommended to overall tighten and I do have some rolling scars). Im a bit nervous since I healreally slowly (took 6 months of weekly IPL after Fraxel for the redness to finally subside...)andIm extremely pale (and worried about the bruising lasting for a while and the entry site leaving a mark). I had a laparoscopy surgery3 months ago and my body used up a ton of energy healing that but I should be fully healed up by now.

Is there anything I should do to prepare for it and any supplements/routine I should do after? Also, should I avoid any activities like showering or exercise to ensure no infections or weird bumps occur in the healing process?

Let me know if any of you guys have done field subcision before and if anything helped for a smooth and quick recovery. Im not planning to do the suction method as its my first time doing subcision ever.

Thanks so much!

Subcision, unlike other treatments, doesn't really require any particular pre- or aftertreatments. Only side-effects you will most likely encounter is hematoma (bruising). Very rarely will you have granulomas (lumps) or infection. These aside, the biggest concern should be whether the scar will attach again. Hence you might consider getting filler in 2 weeks or when the swelling is gone.

As for supplements, I suggest Vitamin C + Zinc. They're anti-inflammatoryand will help with collagen stimulation.

You can shower and apply makeup, but avoid any strenuous workouts.
