I won't write off dermarollers and dermapens as completely useless, but they are ineffective for scar treatment.

RF microneedling, on the other hand,is more relevant for scar treatment. However, it is limited to certain types of scars. It won't work for icepick scars, for example. It is also not suitable for medium to deep scars with hard fibrotic scar bands. Hence, it's more ideal for relatively shallow boxcar or rolling scars.

Per your question, it's anybody's guess. It largely rests on how well your body responds to the treatment (eg. how much collagen is made).
