Kenelog injections directly into the hypertrophic scar usually helps. The shot softens and break down scar tissues. Multiple injections may be needed but you should see dramatic results after the first injection.

gynoscar, do you have experience with this type of scars (follicular macular) and those injections? cos I have tons of them and no dermatologist ever told me about them

Yeah but I have a couple of hypertrophic scars near my shoulders. I would say 3/5 are nearly flat after 1 injection.
