Hi,

I fully agree that this is notadvisable to do home.

There is study that says that carbolic acid/phenol have lower chances of scar widening .

Link to study : < https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/26849087/ >

Dr rullan's video on this : <

===================================================================================================================================

i have seen so many users here doing TCA by them self. Also there are multiple youtube videos that demostrate that.

But I have never seen anything about phenol . I understand this is pretty new , dr. rulan started this almost in 2018.

I have also seen as phenol being used in multiple industries are easily availible thanTCA.

I just wanted to know your thoughs.

Hey my understanding is that you shouldn't do tca or phenol cross at home. It's too dangerous. I've also heard that phenol is better than tca for cross but it's a more potent acid and could inflict more skin damage if it accidentallygets on healthy skin or you apply too much on the scars

TCA is considered to be a medium-grade and Phenol adeep-gradepeel. Phenol has been around for a long time, since the 60s I believe. But it's more potent than TCA so it should be handled with abundant caution.

There's a video from a guy who's been doing TCA cross at home for 6+ months. Unfortunately most of his video are in japanese.
