Hello,
ive been taking 10 mg of isotretinoin for 6 weeks now, Im due to go back to the Derm in 3 days, Im REALLY hoping I get a normal dosage this time for a 90 kg young adult. Its got to the point now where I am more worried about hair loss and scaring than I am having huge cysts on my back, neck and Head.
Anyway, this isnt about my acne, this is about the plan for after my acne treatment, this is the bit thats causing distress, its the 7/8 bald patches on my head and neck, aswell as a few ice pick scars on my scalp.
As you can see, I have bald patches from acne, and no hair is growing on them, my question is, once Ive finished isotretioin, how can I go about reducing these scars or somehow get hair on them. Do I need lasers or hair transplant or the one thats similar to tattooing, any advice is much appreciated, thank you.

I would see another doctor and get a few opinions. Start using Nizoral shampoo. Get Prp injections here. Rogaine is OTC at any store. Have them test your Vitamin D levels, Testosterone, and other hormones. De -stress.
Accutane can cause hair loss as a side effect. Please discuss this with your provider. It changes the hormones of the body. If it's just from Accutane, many times the hair comes back. Have had a few patients like this.
Have the derm also test for folliculitus which could be a fungus in your hair follicles or Tinea.
Take Biotin.
If the above does not work, they can do a FUE hair transplant. Many of these hair transplant places offer free consultations. There is also medical tattooing places that use hair pigments these days.
Look into FUE transplantation, where they extract individual hairs and place them into recipient area. I would have subcision/microneedling PRIOR to transplants, to make the scarred areas more fertile. Newly transplanted hair needs blood, or some might die off resulting in bad yield.
