Hi all,

i had had 2 rounds of subcision and the last one was done in April last year but till now there are still redness or hyperpigmentation on my cheeks. I think it helped with scarring a bit definitely worsened the redness/hyperpigmentation. There are basically at the tiny spots where doctor injected her needles. Are there ways to solve this? I am just worried it will become dark and permanent if I don™t treat it now.

@Yh88Your skin looks great after subcision, ... as you said it's just hyper-pigmented which is not scarring. This is PIE and can last for up to a year after, in your skin type sometimes longer. Vascular laser is mos effective, and picosure is a great treatment in your skin type. Please use a cream with silicone in it.

Hey beautifulambition, thanks lot for your suggestions, I tried laser before but it was CO2, not sure about vascular laser as I kind of gave up on lasers as I didnt see much improvement (thats before my subcisionsthough). Does it work the same way co2 laser does?

i was told chemical peel helps in my case, ive nevertried before.

@Yh88Vascular laser is for veins and arteries, and discoloration, not for skin resurfacing, it's not a co2 laser. There is no ablation.

IT does take many sessions. In your skin type Picosure/picoway is a great laser as it also works to build collagen.

Thanks for the reply again, so in your opinion, would chemical peel help? Also Am thinking if I need another round of subcision but the downtime was too Long!

@Yh88Yes definitely some peel(s) or a deep peel with Rullan would help. I would get another round, perhaps some filler, and some vascular laser sessions for the redness. There is down time with any procedure, especially in your skin type. Peels will be long as well, unless they are weak.
