Hi
I'm 53 year old female seeking guidance for types of treatment and recommendations for physicians near NYC for scar revision. I'm concerned that as my skin loses volume with age, the scars will become even more noticable. And I'm just plain tired of hiding behind my hair. Scars look better or worse depending on the angle of the light.

I just saw a thread about whether Dr NelsonNovick can treat mild scarring or not. I read that he is a top specialist in acne scar revision.
@MaidenVoyageHi there. You mainly have rolling scars with fat deficiency from age as well. As Damaged Said you need subcision with filler for this type of scarring. Novick does this but expect to pay NYC prices. Or find someone at the local dermatology college, they have a clinic that can do subcision and filler. I would not go about doing laser first as many derms will push. Do a few sessions of subcision and filler spaced out, until you need a top up again, ... if you need laser do it once you raise things.

thank you very much @beautifulambition and @DamagedSkin . Yes, over the years I have been to numerous consultationsand all have pushed laser and I have always backed out. Thank you so much -- immensely helpful.
