Hello everyone,
I dermastamped two scars on my face (forehead and cheek) about 3/4 weeks ago. I used a manual dermastamp with 1.5mm. Obviously the dermastamp penetrates the skin much deeper than the Dermaroller I used before with 1.5mm. I stamped like 12 times I think.
The thing is I have still red skin around that two scars. The one on the forehead is a bit like a small bump.
Is this normal? What can I do?
I tried all the creams I have and bha as well, such as Zink oxides nothing helps
@Lalelu12345Hmm this might be a infection or something fungal going on. Have you been putting triple antibiotic on it to kill the bacteria? 4 weeks is a long time. You can also try a sulfur wash or BP/Salicylic wash, spot treat if needed. You do not need to go deep with a dermastamp, new data shows only .75mm or 1mm is fine and many go to deep causing more damage.
Perhaps your skin is sensitive and takes a long time to heal but I cannot be sure, 4 weeks sounds again long and you did this 12 times so may be bacterial infection leading to antibiotic.
I would make a apportionment with a dermatologist, if things don't clear up soon.

Thanks for the answer! Yes it seemed very long for me, too.
I have clotrinazol here that I can use. Unfortunately I have no antibiotics and i dont know any bacterial creamsthat you can buy in germany without prescription. I tried BHA but it didnt work.
I guess triple antibiotic is something that you need description for, too. What is the active substance?

I will buy sulfur soap, thanks! If Id like to see a doctor Id have to wait until February... impossible to get an appointment before Christmas

What about silver Creme?
i have also some cream with clyndamycin, one with tyrothricin and one with prednicarbat
@Lalelu12345Silver is fine to try, worth a shot, anti-bacterial. If it's deeper in the skin is might not get down that far. Try the antibiotic creams as your own risk, worth a try if you have to wait 3 months for a DR. Clyndamyacin is often prescribed for a topical.

I went to a doctor and she said its no infection. She looked at it closely under a magnifying glass.
But it can takeup to 6 months to clear up she said.
Im really afraid it wont fade bwcauseits not changing at all, i have the same red bump for weeks now. Isnt there anything that one can try?
@Lalelu12345Sure Vascular laser, like V-beam. Have you tried some hydrocortisone for 2 weeks (don't want to use longer it can thin the skin). Tretinorin to the spot.
Hey,
i tried hydrocortisone for one week, it doesnt do anything. The spots look exactly the same as a few months ago, how is this possible?? They are still super red. You think sulfur soap is still Worth a try? What about dermatix? Are there any other people with the same problem??
im so frustrated:(
the doctor said it would go away by itself, but I think she just didnt care and had no idea
@Lalelu12345Because the pigment(PIE/PIH) or area of Erythema is deeper than the weak hydrocortisone. Please see a qualified aesthetics Dr or med spa for vascular laser.
There was another girl that had a PIE issue " acne_skin_queen" I think it is and it faded with glycolic peels, tretinorin, ...
I would stop dermarolling if it causes this issue. See a derm if your concerned.
They also have peels just for hyperpigmentation. Please be aware it takes a few. Also if you have deep pigment issues then laser is the best bet.
You can try the PCA gel on Amazon for hyperpigmentation.
No Sulfur soap will not make it go away unless it's a infection, yeast, or fungi.
Thanks for your answer!!
my doctor said I shouldnt use any actives like glycolic peels and vitamin c, because they would make it worse.
I did it anyway on one spot a few weeks ago and it appeared even more red for a few days.... so Im not sure if it would help
Im not even sure if the vitamin c that i used for dermastamping a few months ago was the reason for these red spots now
and of course I dont needle any more and never will be. Just dont know why dermarolling with 1,5 about 5 times was no problem at all, while stamping three spots with 1,5 led to my actual skin condition suddenly
@Lalelu12345Please see your Dr as I am only getting bits and pieces of what is going on. They will best be able to treat you. You sound like you either are too sensitive for microneedling or you caused dermatitus irritation using a product with microneedling and your body reacted, ... or perhaps something bacterial.
Vitamin C could very likely be the cause, we don't put these things on open channels until 24 hrs after.
I think I found out what I it is!!!
@Lalelu12345Yes my dear, ... this is what I meant. Using products on open channels can create dermatitus and create a cascade such as your paper on grandulomas reaction. Hence why we don't use anything except a pure HA serum(ingredients sterile) while needing. Otherwise we are injecting these items in our skin which caused you issue sadly. Speak to your Dr about vascular laser and the findings of the paper if you wish.
Hi everyone, in case anyone had the same problem:
I visited 12 doctors and talked to 30 more about this issue. It seems that there is nothing you can do about this. My skin looks wayworse than a few months ago and there is no hope it will ever get better. So if someone tells you that there would be this one solution, dont believe it, because in the end it frustrates you even more.
I just wish Id never read something about skin care. Thats where the horror of my life begun
