Hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows any acne scar specialists in Ireland? I went to a clinic and they gave me a free nurse consultation and didnt even look at my skin..they just gave me a menu of the expensive treatments they do.. Wish I could afford to get a plane ticket and see Dr Davin Lim over in australia lol

There is a plastic on there in IE and a Derm, opt for subcision first(manual) methods are always best first. Do not start with laser! Dr Chu is in London across the pond and does cheap sub and he is a expert as well.
Agree with BA, 45 min plane trip and a train ride to Hammersmith. Ireland has a great reputation for World Class dermatologist like Dr Tony Egan who trained in Utah and Dr Gillian Murphy who trained in Medical photobiology in London, however they lack procedural dermatologist who are trained in experts in acne scarring. Prof Tony Chu is the man to see in UK- ethical, compassionate and skilled. Other experts like Dr Nick Lowe and Dr Griffiths took the path of least resistance, namely aesthetics. Here in lies the truth... good procedural dermatologist can either take the easy way out, fillers , Botox and aesthetics and earn $3000 USD for a PREDICTABLE easy out come, 20 minutes .....or spend double the time and earn half as much helping acne scar patients...dealing with psych concerns and the occasional nutter with body dimorphic syndrome. For the compassionate Dermatologist like Chu and others, they have the skill sets to treat aesthetics but choose the pathway to help people. Kudos to these dedicated experts.
I'm booked to see Eilis Fitzgerald (Plastic) in January in Dublin. I haven't heard acne scarring testimonials for her but I like her website - not in the promises shemakes of fixing the scarring, but rather her honesty on the difficulty treating them. She says she only uses lasers after surgical treatments soshe's not leading with the doomed cash-easy laser route. Fingers crossed. Failing success there I'll probably look to London, but hope to avoid having to!
