Hello, I just had my first acne scars treatment. The treatment was a 500 laser, diluted radiesse injections and radiofrequency.
I'm 19 years old and cant grow a beard at this moment.
Is it possible this treatment can damage my chances to grow a beard in the future?
I asked my doctor before the treatment and he said it's not.
Hard to tell.. I think you would need to read scientific papers on particular wavelength of the laser you used if they damage hair cells to know for sure.. But quick googling shows that most doctors believe that commonly used lasers do not damage hair follicules, however opposite opinions also exists. However, scar tissue itself prevents beard grow..
Filler won't make you loose a beard, rf needling won't either. Laser may, but it depends on the type. If your 19 with scar tissue, ... you know that that prevents hair growth to begin with. If your Dr said it does not it does not.
CO2 laser for scars or erbium won't make you loose hair.
Don't worry about hair, ... you can get a beard transplant if you want, and use minoxidil, concentrate on scars.
