Hey
im trying to figure out what serum/exfoliating cream or peel i can use to retexturize my scars. I realize nothing is a miracle cure but if i can diminish the scars id gladly start a regiment as i have none at the moment. My scars are fairly shallow so theyre not too bad to begin with yet if i can create a cell turnover maybe with time i can help my body heal these scars. Thanks for your time

Retinol will help with the cell turnover, but retinol might be a little too weak to help, you should look for adapalene or tretinoin, you can start with the lowest percentage and gradually go up as your skin gets used to it.

I wouldn't even bother with retinol. It's mostly useless and too weak to do anything. I'd go to peels like tca or tretinoin at a minimum.

Make sure you follow the correct treatments for your skin type.for peels, people with asian and darker skin should use bleaching agents before carrying out peels.

heres a faq, read it,you will find it interesting, read up about the treatments you plan on pursuing and do it right.

AHA and tretinoin have done very little for my shallow acne scars. So I doubt Retinol (over the counter version of tretinoin) will do anything. Just my experience. Tretinoin has done wonders for evening my skin tone, though.

It's probably still a good idea to get on Retinol/tretinoin for general anti-aging, general skin health, and also if you're going to seek out other acne scar treatments as Retinol/tretinoin speeds up the skin's turnover (tretinoin significantly, Retinol not so significantly.) Tretinoin also thickens the lower layers of the skin while thinning the top layer of the skin (that's a good thing.)
