Going to Korea in next two weeks. Im pretty sure that dozens of forum's members were treated in Korea. There is one clinic in FAQ called Renewme and Im likely go to them. But it would be nice if someone could give another options to compare. Prices, quality etc.
Share your stories about Korean treatments.

somebody here went to gclinic (gclinic.net)

Based on what?

And is even two weeks enough to get an appointment, consultation, treatment, aftercare, control, etc. done?

On reddit, teng teng is mentioned a lot. But it's possible it's just usual online shilling. There are other clinics mentioned on /r/asianbeauty, /r/korea, etc.

If you have the money and want to avoid language problems, consider Singapore.

Is 30k enough? My golly, you would hope it be enough. I would just spend 30k on travel, scar revision shouldn't cost that much, especially when it's not guaranteed to work.

Hey, I was in Korea over the summer for 2 months. I would bet the procedures are a lot more affordable there than in the U.S. The typical person there seems quite pampered and done up. It is definitely accessible to the average-income person there

omg. do you think that I can wait another 1-2-3 years for something that do not even really exists for acne scars? im 26 im chasing youth. Im not even gonna spend whole stack in Korea.

Not to mention it's going to be for burn scars, not acne scars. You would need all your scars to be excised with Skin TE. That's if it even works

This clinic lists their price: Renewmi [Link Removed]

But, I think korean doctors who cater to foreigners will overcharge you. And they are probably not the best in their field.

And I don't think 2 weeks is enough. Scar revision is usually a multiple session thing.

What so special about Korea? Should try Davin Lim, although apparently he doesn't take international patients. You could just list an Aussie address if you're keen. The language barrier would be very challenging

@Candy SaysJust my impression from reading about korean skin clinics online. Have you checked this tread? https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/good-skin-clinics-in-korea.823861/

Acne Mind [Link Removed]

^ This clinic might be worth a visit. It seems to be a specialist clinic focusing on acne scars. The dermatologist also seems to know his stuff as seen in the large number of blog posts discussing the specifics of acne scars and its treatments.

Singapore is much more expensive
I have only 35k$ including travel fees, room etc

Try this. There's estimate of costs. IIRC, fancy stuff like Infini costs a lot in Singapore. https://www.doctorxdentist.com/guide-best-acne-scar-treatment-singapore/

Reading that, he claims fractional lasers are the most popular treatment in Singapore, because it works. He also claims fractional laser is good for atrophic scars.

I'm skeptical, because from my current understanding and research is that lasers are not good for scars that are indented. Better options out there for pitted scarring.

Also he claims 70-80% improvement is realistic. Dreaming? The majority of his patients wouldn't get that I bet.

Are you saying laser doesn't work?

Read user experiences on here. The record speaks for itself. Lasers should be a last resort option. And if you have ice pick or rolling scars, they're better options out there. Lasers would do nothing for tethered scarring.

My question to you is do you think lasers work? Have you had them?

Oh, I don't know. Perhaps because I listened to derms instead of online strangers playing doctors on acne.org.

so you haven't had lasers? Dermatologist push lasers because it's the most expensive option. Laser would work most likely for shallower scars. Most people on this board don't have mild scars.

troll? So you're discounting users experiences here. Many tried fractional lasers and received very little in the way of results.

Do you work for that clinic in Singapore? Or do you fall for marketing hype very easily.

Read these boards. Lasers are NOT the most effective treatment for acne scars. It will do very little for ice pick, tethered scars or any scar that is indented. It was actually invented for wrinkles and fine lines, not to treat acne scars.

So, let me get this straight. Derms say one thing. And online strangers on acne.org say another thing. And I should trust you guys? Doesn't really make sense.

If you claim derms and researches lie about lasers, why should you trust their other treatments? LIke subcision, infini, vbeam, tret, isotret, acids, etc.

You haven't had any scar treatment yet, have you. I'm not stopping you getting lasers.
I would believe individual posters who share their results with evidence, over dermatologist who alter their before and after photos using best lighting and other photo editing techniques.
Yes, those other treatments you listed can be better, it depends on the individual patient scar type and their healing abilities.
If you think lasers are best for indented or tethered scarring, my advice would be research, research. Most dermatologist do NOT specialize in scar revision, and just use lasers because they have invested in a 110k laser machine and are looking to pay it off.
Best of luck with your laser treatment, if you indeed actually have scars. I can't wait to see your results. Please keep us updated.
