Pico lasers are not designed to treat acne scars. The PD or pulse duration and physics do not remodel true scars - especially fibrosis or tethered scars. Having said that, they do shrink pores and can help with early and mild atrophic acne scars (via LIOB or pressure wave effects). Recovery from say Pico done correctly is only 12 hours. Remodelling of scars are immune mediated, - hence final effects are seen months down the track. Pico lasers are also depended on skin type, as the 'target' is not actually the scar (H20- collagen) but melanin in the epidermis. Complex mechanism. Many white papers- almost all 'marketing'. Their best use is in PIH following ablative laser resurfacing. Save your money and go for other treatments (unless your aim is specifically pore size reduction).
