Get a diabetic lancet and poke under the scar.

Lipo technique ie. back and forth...Dr administered Sub is still the Gold Standard and gets better results. Absolutely agree with @Quadboy

Ok, so this is the one scar I'd like to improve. It has become tethered after a cystic breakout throughout october 2017 (Scar developed in early november) - haven't done anything to it yet. I'm waiting 6 months since it's probably still healing. I'm glad it's just one scar and not multiple. 

I'm aware of that there's a nerve to the left of it so I might be lucky that the scar is closer to the middle of the forehead. What would be the right thing to do?

Subcision 😉 Goto a board certified doctor. He can use saline as a spacer, ... you can do this now if you wish, this is so small they can use a standard needle to fix you up .

Thanks for the picture... best see a reputable doctor. Several solutions - 25- 20 g subcsion with filler. Or vertical needling, break bonds, then use vvvv dilute Botox to raise the scar up, much like what BA suggested, but Botox will prevent muscle contraction. You do not need much, only 2-3 Units in this scar. In this area, with this scar - no side effects. Is it permanent, in some cases yes. If the scar is tethered and bonds broken- its done. If not, and purely atrophic, no,- filler is the best option. A good specialist will know with 'feel' once the needle enters the scar. Lasers, Infini, PRP, microneedling, ablative laser can marginally improve this scar, but one does not need high tech equipment for this scar. Manual method over device in this case. Guys like Dr Novick, and Dr Rapaport in US will find this an easy scar to treat.

A reputable scar revision specialist shouldn't have a problem with that. They wouldn't perform the procedure if there was a decent risk of nerve or permanent damage. All treatments carry a risk, but the risk is minimized if you see a competent doctor. All the best.
