Hey everyone,

I got rid of all my active acne 6 months ago, but now I™m left with some red scars that I really hope to get rid of. Could someone be kind enough to tell me what type of acne scars I have, and what treatments I can get in order to minimize the apperance?

Pictures are included below:96305C60-59A6-44F6-8AA4-10873C54C955.png269BEF3C-C060-43A2-B23A-AA851BCDB183.jpeg167B8687-C79F-4664-82AF-59E9EEC67D72.jpeg

Thank you!

The majority of scars in the first and second pics look like rolling scars, while the third is definitely boxcars with shallow icepick.

For rolling scars, it's best to go with subcision and filler route. Boxcars respond well to lasers and radio-frequency microneedling like Infini RF. Icepicks are best treated with TCA cross.

Good luck!

Thanks a ton for the reply! However all three pics are on the right side of my cheek where majority of my scars are located. The picture is just taken under different lighting conditions. If it is boxcars, what type of lasers should I go for? And if I go the infini RF route how many treatments would you recommend? Sorry for all the questions just really curious!

I wouldnt touch lasers at all,not at this moment in time.get your deeper scars raised more before laser, you want you skin smoother for laser.subscision and rf microneedling,i see they can even perform rf work without use of needles these days.

you were better of doing tca work over many treatments rather than laser.

Please be very careful with your face. You only get one of them. Many people giving advice here, you would do best to research.

I do NOT agree with laser and Infini combined. This makes no sense. Infini is done to avoid the side effects of laser which are quite numerous, it also can be used on ethnic skin and here is the biggie it does not effect the epidermis. Laser does effect the epidermis. They are not complementary. So why would one pay for Infini only to turn around and hurt the epidermis and be susceptible to side effects, makes no sense, why even use the advantages of something that is insulated (Infini) and then go use something that is non-insulated. Laser is $$$$ when you can have better results with peels.

I can give you a plan PM me

Infini/Secret RF/Intensif/Vivance, etc.. are great for box cars I recommend this often, as there is less thermal damage (it's more controllable than a laser).

I think you have a majority of box cars. While there are some rolling scars in there. A few Ice pics.

Treatment plan:

Infini RF you will need 3 treatments of this, again great for boxcars.

Subcision You will need 3 of them, filler will be used with any depressions that are a pencil eraser or more in depth. Make sure it's with a Nokor needle.

Once you have evened off the plane of your scars you can do TCA peels forf texture.

Laser should be your last choice if nothing else works, not your first.

Thanks a ton for the elaborate reply! Using infini RF then subcision with fillers how much improvement can I expect too see? I understand everyone™s skin works differently, but just so I get a rough idea of what to expect. Thank you :)

We are not trying to smooth edges here, what we are hoping to achieve is either erradicate the problem area or make it mote presentable through healing, not concealing.

if the op has deeper stuff then subsicion with filler will release the tethers that hd the flesh down, filler will keep the flesh hooefully from retethering allowing the body to skin time to fill the gap the filler creates.

rf treatment can come in once the deeper stuff is more raised, bringing it to a point where tca work can be done.

Using infini RF then subcision with fillers how much improvement can I expect too see? I just recently asked BA this question but if anyone has knowledge regarding it please do let me know. Correct me if I'm wrong but with Sirius Lee stating that he received 50% improvement from just one infini RF...I'm assuming 3 would give me around 75-80%? I've done a lot of research over the past couple days and from what I see the general improvement after all treatments (RF + Subcision + Fillers) it would be around 60% - 80%. Am I on the right path...or completely off? Thanks guys!

I think you will get something worth your money, just look after your skin, the magic is in the healing, this is the crucial time.obviously the way the treatment is performed contributes to the final outcome,be sure to get your monies worth if its possible.
