I have been reading where suction about three days after subcision helps to prevent the depressions from re-tethering. Besides using a real vacuum cleaner nozzle as some have done, are there other devices specially made for suctioning facial skin? Like:
You are indeed correct, papers that show marginal to moderate improvement. Vacuum in theory keeps the scars from reforming, but also increases the incidence of blood clots, or haematomas following more aggressive forms of subscision, e.g.. NOKOR with 18 G. A few tricks specialists use. If you subscise from on top, blood and inflammation tends to keep the scars 'lifted', another trick is to use saline injections. Recent journal article showed 1/3 improvement with just saline with NO subcsion. But because saline is absorbed by your body over 24 + hours, it can be used with subscision. For really full on subcision specialist go from underneath. This way when blood 'pools' it flows downwards. Hence a haematoma that can lead to fibrosis or paradoxical scarring, is decreased. Be guided by your Specialist, as good specialist will get you back within the week if a haematoma forms ( 5-10% of cases of full on NOKOR subcision to extensive scars- multilayered subcision). The use of dilute A 5 steroids, massage and compresses can reduce clots. Just take take and don't go overboard. I don't think this is harmful, as if a haematoma develops, its usually intraoperative, and detected by your specialist early on.
Owndoc.com has one and Amazon ... it's just a Chinese cupping device. @keving100has used with great results a microdermabrasion battery operated device which several doctors said was good. It has different size tips, of course you do not use the sanding attachment and just use the vacuum bit. Do not use a vacuum cleaner, ... infection and way way to strong. Also you need a tighter head size from the vacuum to get proper suction. Obi wan is right about Hematoma, ... do it to early before your wounds heal and you could be pooling massive blood there. You can do it gently at half strength and build up to higher suction. I personally like filler more, but I realize suction is cheaper.
Mr. Matt used a handheld Oreck vacuum, whose suction he controlled with his hand. He swears by suction and says if he had to do all of his subcisions over again, he'd suction after each subcision treatment (waiting three days).
I just need to know if the suction of a blackhead remover is enough.
I have tried something similar, the nose cleaner, which was no good.
I bought the machine below which is more powerful.

I would not do a vacuum again, it's promoting hematoma and if you clean your floors with it bacteria. Chinese cupping devices are great owndoc.com sells one and amazon. Or As sam said those microdermabrasion battery operated units without the grinding part.
Suction is fine, ... too strong and one will get a lump or complications.
@HopeNewI answered your other post. Do not suction until at least after the laser has healed. This is why we do not stack procedures. Any device is fine really manual Chinese cupping set, or the PMD microderm unit is fine as well if you take out the micro derm part and just use the suction. Some use those battery operated pore removers on amazon too.
@beautifulambitionthank you for your response. I just got back after having the subcision, prp and laser performed. I am now very red and swollen.
My doctor went with a more aggressive subcision needle this time so he he said I would have about two weeks downtime. I am very red and very swollen right now.
He hardly charged me anything! I feel so grateful and yet guilty. I tried getting him to charge me more but he wouldn't.
