Only a few scars... Which one to get? Dermastamp, Dermaroller or Derminator?

Hi!

I only have a few small scars in my face (4-5), from which one is realatively new and red. I also have one huge hypertrophic scar on my decolltee, which I want to treat with microneedling. I'm not sure which product to get. Can I go for the cheaper Dermastamp if I don't have to treat large skin areas? Or is the derminator so much better that I should invest the money? Also, does microneedling help with the redness of scars, or do I have to get a laser treatment for this?

Get the dermastamp if that's all you can afford. Derminator is just better because it does multiple lengths of needle, it can treat a wider area, and it hurts less.

No microneedling does not help PIE or PIH -Hyperpigmentation. Lasers work best. IF you cannot afford this try TCA or glycolic peels. There is a whole list of what works for this in the FAQ - top post of the acne scar sub, goto the skin section and PIE.

Hypertrophic scars with fat loss need subcision by a derm.

Thank you for your answer! So do you think I can get almost the same result by using a simple dermastamp? How can I decide which length is good for my rather small scars? Is deeper needling always better? I've read on multiple sides (including one scientific paper) that needling can flatten hypertrophic scars and improve their colour and texture. Do you know when I can start needling my hypertrophic scar, as it is only 3-4 weeks old?

I posted in another forum about my turmoil with acne over the past 2 decades. I have ice picks on my face and some raised ones on one side of my jawline. My upper arms/shoulders/back/buttocks and thighs are covered with little white bumps some raised, some level with the skin. I learned to own them. As you get older, you will notice many people have scars and they don't care about your scars or mine for that matter. There are many people who have missing eyes, legs, hands and live fulfilling lives. Save your money and do amazing things with it.

My jawline scars have leveled with the skin over time but are white on color. I believe that you shouldn't waste money on trying to fix them. Nature has made us like this. Our bodies scar whenever an injury happens. You should be aware that injuring your existing scar with a so called professional will create another scar which might make it worse than ever before. The only thing you can hope for is scarless healing which is impossible for us. We simply can't regenerate our injured tissues except the liver and a few other organs.

Also, 20 years from now your scars may fade that they might become unnoticeable. Some doctors out there will tell they get worse as you age but I can tell that many scars I got from a few burns and cuts have vanished while others have diminished in size and have hairs growing out of them. Some of my ice picks have filled in and are unnoticeable unless I get direct sunlight on them.

Live your life before you grow old and regret it.
