Ive been dealing with rolling acne scars for many years now and it's really wrecked my self esteem and confidence. I'm ready to invest some money into improving them. I've done quite a bit of research on correcting this type of acne scarring and it seems like the most effective and reliable procedure for this type of scarring is subcision. I don't like the lasers. The results seem incredibly inconsistent and I've read way too many horror stories. And it sounds like lasers won't really address rolling acne scars. What do you guys suggest? I'm desperately trying to find a solution. I like the idea of subcision but don't know of any doctors in the southeast that perform it. I live in SAavannah, Georgia and would be rolling to travel up to 4 hours away.
Thank you for posting. I do not know someone specifically in Savannah Georgia. I have a full list of Doctors in the faq (top of the acne scar sub - first post). I might have someone nearby you, but nothing comes to mind, and just call and ask if they do "cannula subcision" - type of needle used. I would get your subcision with filler (some days latter after the procedure - when the swelling goes down) to avoid re-tethering ... if your fat deficient enough. You can try the Chinese cupping or vacuum method if this isn't possible because of cost. You can also do TCA spot peels over the scars once they are subcised and filled for the texture. Update: (picture below) - infini rf microneedlingwould also help your scar type, you need a few of these treatments.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum but I've found a lot of good information on here over the years I figured I'd give this a shot. Anyways, I have what I believe to be rolling scars. I attached some pics(in harsh lighting) They've pretty much destroyed my confidence and self esteem and I'd really like to do something about it. In my research it seems like subcision along with a filler is the best remedy for rolling scars. I know lasers are widely used but honestly scared of them after reading so many bad reviews and horror stories online. And that last thing I want to do is make my face worse. I live in Savannah GA and have looked a bit for a derm who does subcision, without success. Anyone have any ideas or recommendations?
Thanks @keving100 ... I think his bet bet is either a cheap flight or drive to Dr. Sadove in Gainesville Flordia. He is a expert Plastic Surgeon at Fat Grafting for Acne Scars, and hes quite good at subcision when he does it. I think you will see a good transformation. Please keep us updated and post some before and after pictures and a review of your procedure. If I was closer to Florida I would go to see him myself.

1) You seem like you have a lot of experience and knowledge around scarring. I read through your guide. What is your opinion on my scarring? The pictures I sent are in harsh lighting and dont really capture the uneven texture that well. In my research, rolling scars are best addressed with subcision. What do you think?
2) I'd be willing to drive to gainesville to see dr.sadove. Can you or anyone attest to his experience with subcision/acne scars? Anyone worked with him directly?
