1) Go to Realself.
2) Go to his reviews
3) Sort by lowest reviews first

That is everything you need to know about him. He is a butcher. He has destroyed many people's lives and left them scarred for life. Last I read his license was either in the process of being revoked or has been revoked. Most of his positive reviews are fake and meant to inflate his score.

Realself has significantly deteriorated as a source for reviews and information. They used to allow only plastic surgeons and dermatologists to have profiles, but their standards have now fallen off the map. They now allow any regular old doctor to promote themselves on the site. So now you have family physicians trying to get in on the cosmetic bandwagon and passing themselves off as experts on cosmetic surgery. Non-core physicians have been trying getting into the cosmetic surgery game for years, but now Realself is becoming part of the problem.

Everyone here should realize that the doctors PAY realself to promote themselves so even the obviously fake reviews with 5 stars and only 1 or 2 sentences will never be deleted. It is an unfortunate conflict of interest.Everyone needs to be a smarter consumer.

I agree about real self - it use to be Plastics and Dermatologist alike answering .. now they have family physicians and cosmetic GPs answering but even worse, dentists answering about the ' best laser for acne scar'. Its like a Plastic Surgeon answering on how to perform root canal. Its going downhill, looking at some of the answers from OBGYN and facial scar revision just the other night.. think its greed. That site is more commercial as time goes by. As for Dr Young , no comment as I don't know of anyone treated by him. He does do subscision and TCA but looking at his infomercials, possibly too aggressive in treatments and marketing. IMO

Realself is a classic case of corporate greed that has the potential to harm patients. Dentists and family doctors have no business giving out advice about cosmetic procedures. The doctors pay a fee to be featured on the site, so RS has basically done away with their past requirements. Now any doctor willing to pay can be on the site. That's just wrong.

Contradictory to my comment It is still a good resource for patients with scars, as many prominent scar specialist give free advice. Some doctors cross refer, namely know other ones who provide similar or better services for acne scar patients, I think for beginners, you have to be careful with the answers, especially from physicians or even Board Certified specialist who perform the occasional scar revision. Some good comments, some totally useless self marketing, selfish ones there. Never too late for RS to lift their game, its now to a point of being a profit run organisation with some good guys trying to help out patients.
