Has anybody tried 302 Avogen combined with needling? According to this author below, she uses a combination of needling, 302 serums,
supplements and ultrasound techniques. Sheclaims it to be the "holy grail" of
scar treatment and that she saw 80% improvement in the first year and 95% within 5 years. This seems like a very promising
figure and she seems knowledgeable about the procedures and benefits. You can read more from below this link:

https://theskincarerevolution.wordpress.com/2011/02/05/a-safe-and-sensible-approach-to-correcting-acne-scars/

I have decided to follow through with these treatments, after years of barely any noticeable improvement in my numerous scars on my face. Maybe 10-20% maximum? I would estimate. I think it is time I do something for myself to improve my situation.

Try it out and let us know if it works. It's not that different than what we do here. Just ultrasounds, actives, microneedle, etc. Some of the actives are what we suggest, retin a, vitamin c serum. hydroquinone aka skin bleach, etc.. She said TCA gave her 20-30% improvement, but not how many she did and what protocol. She never describes her scars or has pictures.

The article recommend 1.5mm dermarollers. However, I read that anything above 1.0mm might do damage and cause atrophy to the fat cells if not done right. Do you have any experience which is better? Also, I have permanent rosacea, redness on my cheeks mostly, not really all that bad but its there and I have a daily routine of putting moisturizers and toners yet the redness still persists. I do not have any acne now, but I wonder if needling would be a good choice because of this condition. The scars I have are icepicks and deep boxscar scars on my cheeks from the result of cystic acne during my teen years.

Fat is at 2.5mm-3mm in the cheek not 1.5mm, whoever said that must have thin cheeks. 1.5mm is the optimal protocol by doctors, including the inventor of the microneedle.

This will do nothing for icepics. The optimal treatment for icepics is tca cross.

This will do nothing for icepics. The optimal treatment for icepics is tca cross. Icepicks go through the fat and to the bone. They are deep. The acid makes closure of the spot by lifting the scar floor.

Box cars can be treated with subcision and tca spot peels to the area.

If you have Rosacea your skin is sensitive so I can see it potentially flaring up, this is why if you have tca done, do a little at a time. Read the faq (top of the acne sub / my signature) goto the acid peel section.

I cannot say if you will break out or not, I am not your derm, but if yor sensitive anything can make this happen.

Thanks. Should I approach a derm to get TCA cross done? Is there any chance the scarring could potentially become worst after TCA and subcision?
How many % improvement to expect? As for breaking out, I haven't had once in years. My hormones are pretty balanced now, I only have the occasional spot pimples and even then still quite rare. The only thing not going too well for my skin is the dryness and slight rosacea I suffer, I think because my skin's protective layer has been damaged?

If you have any reservations which I sense you do, I would goto a Derm, Med Spa, or even Aestitician (can never spell that right).

Percentage of improvement is progressive, I cannot give you a full percentage, it may work differently from your than someone else. This is not science it's your bodys ability to heal. Progressive means it will take many treatments over a period of time (2+ years) and it depends on acid strength. You will have red dots after so you might only decide to treat a few. You also can microneedle, and do the ultrasound like in your link while treating with actives while you do all this. For Rosacea I feel both meds and lasers can help calm down the redness Vbeam or Excel V.

Yes stop all acids and exfoliants, only treat the scars themselves if icepicks or spot treat clusters.

Do things to rebuild your skin, not do cell turn over. Lookup serums, vitamins, etc for the purpose to grow collegen. Eat your fats and proteins. Stay away from alcohols and harsh chemical cosmetics.

I used this stuff and even though my skin got worse and worse the woman I bought it from convinced me to keep going. I saw her for ultrasound facials. I think it was too much. It tore up my skin, scars I didn't even know were there appeared. It took a long time for it to recover. Your skin may be better suited as mine is really sensitive I've found. Just beware! This stuff is no joke.
