Hey, and yes, it is a smart and usually effective path to follow. Microneedling is one of the best treatments for mild to moderate scarring. Lots of people get very satisfying results from doing the treatment at home and with a doctor. I recommend using 1.5mm- 1.75mm needle length since the skin on the forehead is thinner than the skin on your cheeks.
@jackj3697Microneedling will do nothing for icepicks, Icepicks are very deep and thing scars. The best treatment is TCA Cross. I see some texture irregularity on your forehead, you would be helped with a TCA spot peel as well.
Please goto the below signature, to my faq. Find the Acid peel section at the bottom.
@beautifulambition. Thanks for the response. Looking at my forehead, you think microneedling wouldnt help? My derm told me I have shallow icepicks, but perhaps this is not true? They don't seem very deep to me, more of just the orange peel like texture across my forehead.
@jackj3697Just private message me next time on here if you don't hear from me. I get overwhelmed, 15 PM's a day as well ;-P
Yes http://derminator.com or microneedling will help.
You also need TCA peels. ... if your derm told you that you have shallow ice pics, the cure for that is tca cross. Please read all about it by goin to my below signature, faq link, and then tca peels section, all things peels link. I see that helping you alot.
For surface texture, this is why we spot peel, not for pits or small icepics, so both are helpful.
IF you have a orangepeel texture, your epidermis is messed up like many, too many harsh treatments, you must build it back with moisturizers, and serums, after treatment of course for your ice pics. Stop all harsh soaps, abrasives, scurbs, etc. The TCA will do this, but is necessary for treatment, then you need to just treat your skin as very sensitive, dry, and needed loving.
