I need some help. I know the scarring is not terrible, but a few months ago I had no scarring and smooth skin.
I went through, and still have some adult acne. However they never scarred until i used benzoyl peroxide. Big mistake.
Anyways, I did one treatment of dermapen three months ago, but i think the esthetician did not do it correctly as her pen would stop mid treatment and get stuck!!! This probably made the scars worse. I feel like the texture of my chin is terrible.
Please see the pictures below. Scarri
I see infected pores or pimples. Have you stopped micro needling and observed if it improves? For pore texture TCA peels are normally done, Acne.org has some great Glycolic that can help as well. Certain people have had issues with fish oil and others hormonal issues. Have you discussed with your derm? You may need some pure HA serum as a moisturizer. Other orange peel and large pore treatments are in the faq below goto the skin section, and large pores orange peel section.
Thank you for getting back to me. My skin is very sensitive, so I don't think I can tolerate the TCA peel.
Do you think the infection went deeper from Microneedling? What can i do in this case? I have been to many dermatologist...One tried the fraxel on those areas, and I think it made it worse too. I am so upset with myself I let her do that without reading all the negative reviews on laser.
You would goto the doctor and get the area swabbed and cultured if you think it might be a bacterial infection.
There are gentler acid peels which will work on texture, it does not need to be TCA. Please see the FAQ, goto the bottom, then the all things acid peels link. Salicylic acid peels actually cleans out the pores. A good brand is makeup artist choice if you google them (good customer service) on how to do it. Acid peels work on the top texture, and unlike laser do not have the same side effects.
Have you had a estheticiansee if they can pop or clear those areas doing a facial?
Another choice may be retin a cream or retinol creams for quicker cell turn over.
