What is the best course of action to reduce my scarring?

Some background:  I never had cystic acne, just a lot of pimples on my cheeks for a couple years.  I did a course of Accutane, and my derm told me that, based on the severity my acne, I wouldn't have any scars.  Three years later, I've got some pretty nice ones.  I recently decided to do something about it, and was recommended laser treatments.  After a consult with a specialist, who pushed me to undergo ActiveFX CO2 Laser Resurfacing, I felt that he didn't thoroughly examine my skin and seemed to be after a paycheck.  What do you guys think?

I tried to use lighting to highlight the depth of my scars, they don't look this bad in person.  My upper right cheek (2nd pic) is definitely the most severe.

Hello laser is never good to start out with, its a gamble, and as you said it pays the doctors $$$$$$$$.

I see on your right cheek the need for subcision and filler for the fat deficiency tethering

You could at home or a doctor do TCA peels and microneedling to some of the same effect as laser without the side effects to the scarred cheek areas. Please Read the FAQ below for more on this.

Acne treatments are never one and done. I would try non energy treatments before you take the gamble with lasers.

Finally I see reds, the best bet for this is V-Beam vascular laser.

Thanks so much. How would you recommend I find a qualified doc to perform this type of subcision?

If your in the USA, realself.com if your in another country I have no idea on your rating sites of dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Make sure they are board certified. Call up and ask if they do the procedure. It might take several calls as doctors want to charge for high price procedures and this is cheaper. Some have flown to big areas to get these things done like LA, NYC, with the doctors they see on here. A dermatology department at a college where they are teaching should also be able to do it as they teach this.

To be honest it doesn't even look bad, I normally notice detail but I don't really notice blemishes I'm sure that goes for other non shallow minded people. If you really want to see gross face look at my question because I have blackheads on my nose..
