Dermatologist suggested clear and brilliant laser therapy when I mentioned my acne scars. Anyone knows if it works at treating scars? Thanks.

How bad are they?
I suggest that anyone considering laser to visit the IPLaser damage support forum beforehand and see what can happen.

Similar Damages also occur from retin a and chemical peels..and your name suggests you are fair skinned..you are even more susceptible to damage..both thermal and chemical, from light or otherwise, etc.
Professionals suggest a lot of harmful treatment every day..you have to caution yourself FOR yourself

Seem like it is a very superficial treatment fore pores similar to laser genesis. It is not for acne scars and is very superficial. They say it is similar to a light chemical peel. Acne scars can be very deep, I have not seen your pics of the scars so unless they are extremely shallow this will not work.  Orange peel and large pores clear and brilliant and laser genesis will help by heating the upper most layer of the skin. IT takes several treatments.

Photofacial and Clear and Brilliant

Thank you for your question. The photofacial is a treatment based on an IPL to target color, browns and reds, pigment, and vessels essentially, and some mild pore improvement. The C&B is a laser used to perform a mild treatment and remove the very superficial layer of skin, and essentially polish the skin. This isnot for deep lines or wrinkles, or deep acne scars, and is more of a maitenance treatment, replacing chemical peels in many cases. See a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon or Board Certified Dermatologist for what is most appropriate for your skin. I hope this helps! SHOW LESS
