I understand that there is a "window of opportunity" minutes and hours after needling to take advantage of the newly formed micro channels in the skin by applying topicals which can penetrate at a much deeper level and therefore enhance their effects. Similarly though, I'm guessing there are certain products you should probably avoid during this period as well. So, what should you apply to the skin and when?
For example, Vitamin C serum is something that is commonly mentioned as a topical to use after needling. However, should it be put on in the immediate aftermath or not for a couple of more days down the line?
Ur questions can't be answered for sure. Vit c immediately after needling could sting but who can say that it's unsafe? Nobody. The only thing u can do is try it yourself. PERSONALLY I would put vit c on the day after and immediately after needling choosing Infadolan by owndoc, but u can use some copper peptide mask or hyaluronic acid or some egf serum or natural oil like green tea , centella asiatica.... or.... or... and so on. I personally avoid to use retinoids or retinol (but not retinyl) immediately after needling. I'm sorry but u can't have THE answer for your questions...
Indeed - you can only learn from experience which is why I'm trying to call upon folks experience who may have experimented with this before me in the hope that someone has an informed opinion on the matter.
Speaking of OwnDoc though, don't they recommend that you prep the skin by applying Vit C for 4 days prior to needling? Then, I think they say wait 2/3 days before resuming daily application, or at least every other day - something like that. I'll read through their guidelines again at some point... that stuff is supposed to retained in your skin for a good while.
Anyways, if nobody has their own opinion on this subject I will have no choice but to either go along with what OwnDoc say or perform my own experiments. But please - any thoughts or theories on the matter are welcome.

I apply vit c the day after and the day before needling, no problem at all. Reading wathever u want, get an idea but u have to be conscious that nobody has the single truth about needling (and other treatments). Good luck!
