I have not seen any scientific study to prove it, nor I have ever heard that anyone had meaningful results with vit E capsules.

vitamin e might help you with the newly formed scars... but wont help you get rid of the stubborn old scars

No!! , and it's may be aggravatethe healing of new scars ( contact dermatitis ) , it's just has moisturizing effect .
