Hi everyone,

Wanted some advice on something and thought I may get some good help here on this forum.

A week ago I went to a dermatologist as I wanted to know more about CO2 laser for acne scarring, they are not deep scars but still however annoy me. He recommended radiesse instead of laser because of the downtime, it's quite harsh and I'm young (19).

So I decided to go with that, I decided to go with radiesse I was a bit worried at first as I never thought I would be injecting my face with things.. But now I want to know what do I expect in the next coming months (if anything) I mean I don't really see a huge difference at the moment although I do feel my cheeks are more tight/firmer especially when I smile.

My theory is because they are tighter it will slowly lift the scarring up and radiesse helps in promoting collagen, so I expect proper results over time? Am I right?

As far as I know all the effect you get from Radiesse is immediate. There is no additional collagen that will be generated over time. So the effect you have now is the final result.

Radiesse does not have suture material in it. I think you are thinking of Sculptra. Radiesse is made of calcium hydroxyappetite, which is like the material our bones are made of.
