I feel sick to my stomach every time I look at my face in the mirror. I finally got my acne under control, but I'm left with these horrible scars. I feel so igly. It's ruining my social life. I need help please. Does anyone out there have similar scarring? If so, what type of treatments have worked best for you?

First of all...believe it or not, but time will get them better.
I would definitely go to a derm and see my options. Trust dermatologists, they know better.
I feel your pain. Time will fill the scars somewhat in. Important is stay out of the sun and use a high spf without fragrance. Sun will harden collagenand it will then break down. Wich makes the scars a bit deeper. Collagenwill be broken down when you get older. So dont give the sun a chance to make it worse. Skin loves to make collagene. So also use a topical like bha to get maximum collagen rebuilding. This doenst fill in your scars completely but a bit is more than nothing. It also rids you off the red spots.
I also recommend to see a derm for other treatments
Guys, please keep comments helpful and supportive to the OP. Her scars may not seem severe to you but she does have some acne scars and is looking for help and support.
Fraxel seems like a good option. Hang in there and hope you find some scar treatment options to bring to your derm!

I do think OP would do well with fraxel, be it dual or repair.
Either way it would be up to her derm to decide what she needs...now at least she is aware of both options.
Let's stay on topic and not turn this into a subdebate in this person's thread.
Youre right. She does have some noticeable scarring so the title of the thread doesnt really matter. I hope we didnt scare her off.
I think we would both agree that fraxel on high intensity should help her. My scarring was similar, and the fraxel helped them to shrink, fill in, and smooth out, though they are still visible in bad lighting.

Do you work for Solta or something?
This is the first time I even heard of Solta. Last I heard Reliant owned the Fraxel name. I haven't done any research since 2011. Fraxel Repair is the only thing that did any good for me.
