Hello,
I'm a28 year old femaleand IhadDermapen microneedlingdone by anaesthetician to my face 3 weeks ago using a 2.0 mm needle to treat acne scarring and premature aging.I don'tsee aany improvement in my faceandsome of my fine lines and scarring look the same and some look worse. Is it possible using a needles that long on my face caused permanent damage?
Thanks in advance!

Where do you base this on? How many treatments you need and how much improvement it might give is highly dependent on your skin and scar type.
But one thing is sure: you are not going to see much improvement in three weeks time. Collagen regeneration takes time. The maximum results from any treatment that regenerates collagen (which is your goal when treating acne scarring) are usually seen after 3-6 months.
A 2mm dermaroller can cause damage, but it is highly unlikely andonly happens if you are extremely prone to scarring or when it has not been used in the right way.
Bottom line: don't draw any conclusions yet.
3 weeks is way too soon to see any improvement. I started rolling years ago and it took about 6 months to see some difference but not much. It took over a year to fill in some scars. And then there are those scars that will not have any improvement. Give it time and you definitely need more treatments.
Hi thanks for replying..And yeah I did the same treatment in jan and didn't see any improvements..instead I ended up having pain due to this treatment! Really bad treatment. I have decided never to do it again. I will share my experience for others. Would you mind sharing yours also probably after a three month interval. I believe it's been 4 months for you since you had this treatment coz it seems the real results are seen after six months according to some of the posts that I have read.
