Okay so i just wanted to ask whether exfoliation will help with these scars? I had previously started a  thread asking for help with my scars... Here i want to know if exfoliation really works? I mean will the results be permanent? Also which would be the best exfoliator for my scars?
anyone here who has seen massive improvements with exfoliating?

Take a little each of rice, poppy seeds and almonds and grind to a fine powder and mix it with 2 tablespoons of curd and apply to your face. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes and then wash it off and see your skin glow and the acne scars fade away slowly.

i think 10% glycolic acid lotion works well. i use it almost every night and it does a really good job at exfoliating. srubs can irritate my skin which makes it oily so i dont do them as often anymore. I use neostrata lotion but there are a million different kinds. it also keeps my pores clear more than anything else so i couldnt live without it.

why don't you want to under go any treatment? i don't think rubbing any rice will fix a problem such as this believe me lol and as for exfoliation idk some people say to exfoliate some say it'll make it worse so I'm not sure i tried using retin a and aha/bha which i exfoliates but i think it just made my problem worse made my skin more sensitive and irritated but everyone is different

the reason i said tca cross because I've seen some really good results on this forum as well but take a look at this link i have the similar texture as you and Im eventually gonna get tca cross once i find a trust worthy doctor who has before and after pictures to show me such as these

My scars are about a year old and so i think i should allow my skin to do its part of repair before looking out for treatments. . Ive heard exfoliation helps speed up the healing so i was wondering if there is any hope for my scars without any treatments!

The exfoliators that a common person can buy will only remove the most superficial layer of the skin. Those scars are a result of a deeper damage to the skin, and I recommend you to visit a dermatologist instead.

Thedaily Elemis Tri Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash will stimulate your skin's natural cell renewal cycle.

Elemis revolutionary Tri-Enzyme technology is the catalyst in this innovative formulation for resurfacing the upper layers of your skin. This Resurfacing Facial Wash has non-abrasive exfoliation ingredients from the larch tree and babassu oil, which will replenish moisture levels in the epidermis.

The anti-oxidant properties of moringa will help to protect your skin against environmental damage, whilst white truffle and poria cocos helps to soothe and support your skin.

Ingredients:
  • Aqua/Water/Eau, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Acrylates Copolymer, Polysorbate 20, Coco-Glucoside, Glycol Distearate, Glyceryl Oleate, Sodium Lactate, Dicaprylyl Ether, Phenoxyethanol, Lauryl Alcohol, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Chloride, Orbignya Oleifera (Babassu) Seed Oil, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Hydroxide, Chlorphenesin, Citric Acid, Glyceryl Stearate, Papain, Disodium EDTA, Galactoarabinan*, Behenyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Benzoic Acid, Moringa Pterygosperma Seed Extract, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Disodium Phosphate, Stearyl Alcohol, Protease, Subtilisin, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate, Poria Cocos (White Truffle) Extract.

    *Extracted from larch tree.

Obviously I copied and pasted the info.

I do have this face wash, although I don't use it everyday I absolutely love it, it is gentle so you can use this daily. I use this one days I am home and don't wear makeup, this is not good enough to remove makeup since it us quite mild. Smell delicious, one bottle lasts ages, one pump is all you need each wash. You do have to wear SPF 30+ if you're use this as it is a resurfacing face wash.

My other method of light exfoliation is a face towel, this is my main use as I like the idea of it not being harsh. I use a face cloth that is made to exfoliate the skin.

Another thing I like is microdermabrasion it is not very invasive, very quick recovery and if you have someone who knows what they are doing you should get results pretty fast.

Good luck

In tissue physiology, damage area undergo repairing until it hits a certain point. It is safe to say any area that stays the same for about a year would remain the same unless something is done. Those indentations, which you have mentioned that were about a year, would not get any better with simple superficial exfoliation.

I use paula's choice 10% AHA resist weakly treatment twice a week and it lightens up my post acne marks dramatically. My skin doesn't even flake (except for my noise) so I really recommend it (:
