Lemon Juice

Sorry to create a whole topic for this, but I am using lemon juice to bleach my face, trying to lighten it up before fraxel repair in a few weeks time.

If I squeeze some lemon juice and store it into a dark sealed jar (amber glass), and keep it in the fridge, how long will the lemon juice last before it will become no good?

It says 3-4 days when I search google, but that's for drinking it, I'm thinking I may be ok for longer if only applying it to the skin.

Thanks.

There are serious risks with putting lemon juice on your face, citric acid can cause a phototoxic reaction called phytophotodermatitis, an inflammatory reaction that results in bruise-like hyperpigmentation, with the potential for nasty-looking blisters. It's often mistaken for chemical burns. This is not only an ineffective treatment, it can be downright dangerous.

Use Vitamin C serum instead, it will lighten the skin without any nasty side-effects.

Really? I have been using Lemon Juice for almost a year, has done my skin brilliant! I use around 50% distilled water in it so it isn't too strong.

I use Vit C serum too.

Guess that doesn't apply to diluted solutions.
