Hi guys im new here, so lets see if i create this topic right, its simple, i have mild acne scars and some medium (very few) , i have good skin, all my family has but i was the unlucky one and got acne.............so i tried co2 laser back then but the results were not impressive, years later tried dermastamp and it helped, but was not enough , i have heard wonders about tca peels, but when i search for info on the internet i get confused, doctors say that peels are temporary and bla bla bla, but persons who tried say that the results of acne scar vanish are permanent, im confused, i want the peel only for the acne scars, and i know i wll need at least 3 or 4 of them,,,but i don't want to need them my all life, so my question is, are the results of tca peels to acne scars permanent? or do the scars como back like the doctors say? i don't want to have a chemical peel once a mounth, i want permanent results even if it takes longer
In theory, if the scars are shallow enough for the peel to remodel them then yeah, results should be permanent. But we're talking super-shallow pinhole scarred pores here.
Most of the time you're not going to be able to reach the bed of the scar with just the peel, so auxiliary treatments become necessary: subcison/needling/CROSS.
