First, my English is not really good because i'm from Holland.
A week and a half ago i see a doctor who does subcision. He was really kind and my first meeting with him was like 2 hours long. In the 2 hours he subcised my biggest boxcar .
The thing was, i really wanted to suction, but i didn't know how. So three days after the procedure i suction, but not good i guess. Like 4.5 days after the subcision i thought that i knew how to suck. I sucked with a chinese cup but esp. for the face. The first day with the nozzle from the vaccuum cleaner.
So, after i was done suctioning with the chinese cup for the face (i did 4 seconds for 8 times on the scar) i didn't see the scar was elevated at all. As a matter of fact, he tethered again. Is it normal that that happens so fast? Or did i suction just not good enough?
We need pictures to give better opinion to your situation. Usually Subcision is not a one time thing for most People. You'll probably need 2-3 or maybe even 4 times to Subcise the scars underneath the skin to get the best results to elevate it up to the rest of skin level. If the boxcar is not that deep below the surface of the skin then subcision won't do much for it. Subcision is more for the deep rolling scars and some deep boxcar scars. It won't do much at all for ice-pick scarring.
Now if you asking for skin texture of the outside surface of the skin when people see your face. Well that is what Micro-needling or derma-rolling comes into play. Some choose Lasers, but keep in mind that lasers are very much more expensive than derma rollers which you could do at home. Check youtube videos on how others derma roll at home. Neither will clear the scarring to 100%, but you will definitely get improvement. I would stick to derma rolling as it's much cheaper and can get just as good results than with Lasering your face which could be more high risk if something where to go wrong with it.
For now, I would stick to Subcision again along with suction method you are using. If you are not happy with this Doctor then search for another one who has experience with subcision. Best of luck to you. Keep us posted.
