Help! About a week ago, I used a new (and terrible, not organic and super gross and processed) brand of ACV on a cotton ball on my face - undiluted. (I know, never doing that again.) I was kind of rubbing it on my skin- looked in the mirror and a huge chunk of my skin was missing. It STILL hasn't healed or gotten any better really. At first it scabbed, then the scan fell off, then it's was just an annoying open wound again, now it seems to be scabbing again but like, below my usual layer of skin... Maybe this cut/burn/whatever thing is deeper than I thought?!
I've been putting vitamin e oil, tamanu oil and aloe (from an actual plant) on it like crazy. At first I thought the vitamin e was helping the scab, but now it doesn't seem to be doing anything- maybe even slowing the healing process. The aloe takes the redness away, but after it dries it kinda hurts and goes back to looking gross and scabby and dark red.
HELP!
Thank you!
@Danielad ...Oh sorry, the same happened to me.
You probably need to see a doctor to get antibiotics to help it heal.or else it will take awhile for the skin to recover.
Applying over the counter ointments will probably clog the pores and increase and spread bacteria.
I really didn't want to say all that, because I didn't want to scare you.
I can assure you , it will heal , the doctor will probably give you a prescription for mupirocyn (sp?) Ointment.
Do not rub it anymore.in the meantime , you can wash your face with something mild that has antibacterial, like cetaphyl antibacterial soap , until you see a doctor.
i have the same mark on my face for 3 years..dont worry i didnt use ACV
anyways, you said you had it almost a week. let it heal naturally. keep it clean. dont apply aloe to open wounds. if scab is there, just let it heal. why did you put the ACV there(curious)? acne? anyways dont let your face scar in the area its bad as i have one there and it sucks. please post update, wish you smooth recovery !
@cookingENG...It happened to me , it could be due to a very sensitive skin, it's acidic.
They should put a warning on those bottles, or their websites.
