Severe Scarring Almost Fully Gone With Needling!

First of all I'd like to apologize if I misspell some words, english is not my first language and not really a fluent speaker. I was really in doubt whether to make this topic or not, because I was ashamed of my methods, because it is almost a consensus that what I was doing was wrong and could make more damage. It worked for me very well so I decide to tell everyone, because I might help someone!

LONG STORY:
Well, I used to read this forum everyday trying to find a solution to my indented scars, I had some rolling scars all over my cheeks and several box scars from forehead to my chin.

At the beggining of 2013 I bought a 1mm Dermaroller and rolled it once per month, it got me ride of almost every rooling scar after about 7 months, but I was still covered in box scars, which bothered me a lot more than those rollings. The dermaroller didn't fill any of my box scars, so I gave up rolling in November of 2013 and started microneedling with 30cc needles, I needled for 4 months and not a slightly change took place. I was very very depressed and I really didn't want to get out my house because I felt disfigured, in direct sunlight I felt like a monster so I decided to go hard and reckless.

I'm 20 years old and I don't have the money to have professional work done and my parents think it's just vain of me to care that much about "a skin problem" when some people have it much worse. Those who doesn't suffer from scarring always tend to think our suffering is just vanity.

I noticed my skin heals really really well, I don't have a single scar on my whole body and all my wounds heal perfectly, my ONLY trouble is with acne, every single acne that break out on my face leaves a scar behind. So I bough lots os pins and used them once a month on my entire scarred area, I started on April and now most of my scars are almost filled in, in some lightening they are absolutely invisible (remeber before they were quite severe). Some people tend to believe that sewing needles and pins are just too thick, but I really don't think so, if your main problem is just acne scars, you body shall deal really well with tiny holes caused by a pin or sweing needle, they'll really fill in. I too use some "alternative medicine" using binaural beats to promote collagen booster (Well, I don't know if it really works, but I listen to these beats everyday since I started needling, so it doesn't hurt for you to try, just 30 minutes of a music daily). I didn't used any topic after needling besides of iodine the minute after I was done needling and kept it on my face overnight.

I'm really happy now and I fell amost as confident as I was before having these scars because they really don't bother me anymore.

I won't post pictures because I don't have any "before" picture, so it don't really makes sense, but if REALLY REALLY want a picture, I may send you in privative, just send me a message.

LONG STORY SHORT:

Dermaroller worked wonders on my rooling scars, but neither dermaroller nor needling with 30cc needles helped with my box scars so I started needling with thicker needles (pins and sewing needles) and my scars are finally filling in. So, if your only problem is acne scars and not scars in general, you might get some improviment.

I want to share with you who struggle with scars this quote from a book which I love.

"On the girls brown legs there were many small white scars. I was thinking, Do those scars cover the whole of you, like the stars and the moons on your dress? I thought that would be pretty too, and I ask you right here please to agree with me that a scar is never ugly. That is what the scar makers want us to think. But you and I, we must make an agreement to defy them. We must see all scars as beauty. Okay? This will be our secret. Because take it from me, a scar does not form on the dying. A scar means, I survived."

I am currently going through a similar process to yours, except I have factored in an anti-inflammatory diet for the best results possible. My scars are shallow and only about 7 - 8 on each cheek. I haven't started yet, but I am going to very soon. I just hate that it takes so long to see results :(

With the thick needles I actually started seeing improvements after 3 needlings (4 months), so I think it didn't took soooo long. And some people say the boxscar gets wider and shallow but mine isn't getting any wider, just shallower.

I wish you good luck, just don't give up after a couple of months and the improvement will come!

Great stuff. Can you explain how you prick and how deep?

I prick in vertically, bottom of the scar and edges, I go really fast because it hurts less but everytime I aim for the 'pop' sound, once I hear the scar tissue breaking down and I see the scar bledding, I'm satisfied.

Hey, I don't use any numbing cream. When I'm too sensitive I just needle one cheek today and the other tomorrow!

Dermaroller is already a dangerous procedure when done at home. Doing it with thick needles further increases the risk of contracting a staph infection. Alcohol and other home disinfection techniques do not adequately sterilize the needles. Do this at your own risk.

As I said before I don't have any before pictures so showing pics would make no sense, but if you really need to see a picture of my face, just send me a private message and I show you!
