I plan on buying and using a product that has AHA. I'm also purchasing a fade cream. Are there any risks involved in using these products? From your experience using these products, have they been effective in removing hyperpigmentation?

Thank you very much

It contains Hydroquinone, Salicyclic acid and Padimate O. It's called Superfade Face cream.

Thank you very much

Hydroquinine can irritate a breakout. Padimate O is a PABA (a preservative, which are controversial.)

Try pearl powder, tea tree, and vitamin A serum (or Triacneal for a more intense exfoliation) or Burt's Bees carrot cream instead- you're probably already using a salicylic product, yes?

Hydroquinone cream for me didn't do all it was cracked up to do. It made my face feel oily and gross. When you have acne that has finally cleared up the last thing you want is to put something on it that makes it feel oily and plain uncomfortable. That could just be my experience though. I was using a prescription Hydroquinone cream. I'm not sure what having all those other ingredients is going to do for your skin.

Honestly though I have had HUGE success with Acne.org AHA. The product works really well. It faded away my spots completely. In just a couple of weeks i noticed and my family noticed a huge difference. Plus it makes your skin feel very soft and gives you a nice glow. Plus it works as a spot treatment. You can apply it in the morning and put make up on within 10 minutes of applying. I could never get makeup or sunscreen to look decent over my Hydroquinone cream. AHA products can be really expensive too. Paula's choice offers AHA in a tiny little bottle for a price that is around the same as 16oz of acne.orgs AHA. I'd say give it a shot.

It's just online. Here on the forums, if you scroll up to the top of the page click on shop, then products, then AHA. It's also on eBay and amazon. Just do a search on eBay and amazon for Acne.org AHA.
