I tried needling my scars 5 weeks ago, heard the popping sound, so I thought it might work. Now I wanted to try it again, and now I heard nothing, there was a little blood, but no sound. And when I tried it for the first time, i didn't feel any pain but now I did. I read somewhere on this forum that you should not feel anything. What's going on? I definitely have scars, I can see them, but now it seems like there aren't any

This has happened to me, too. From what I've read, needling can help to make the scar tissue more vascular and thus why it helps to soften the scar, which means it could be slightly more uncomfortable with each session. I heard the popping noises when I first started needling and hardly any pain, but after three sessions it started to hurt a bit and my scar tissue is much less "tight". I can now stretch the scar to the point of it almost being flat.

Is it a hypertrophic scar?

No, I spot needled three of my deepest scars. They wouldn't flatten much prior to needling and had some dense scar tissue binding them down, now they are softer and stretch more.
