Dermastamping Doesn't Hurt At All?

Hi, a couple of hours ago I did my first session of dermastamping. I used a 1.5mm dermastamp and I think I stamped pretty hard, I even drew blood but I could hardly feel any pain. I wouldn't say my pain tolerace is particularly high, although I have fairly thick facial skin. Am I doing something wrong? It's strange because I read all these people saying you should use an anesthetic because the pain is unbearable. I have a lot of moderate icepick scars/scarred pores and a couple of rolling scars. Should I move up and try 2.0mm? Please any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I use a 1.5 & 2.0 dermastamp without numbing cream and I Don't find it painful at all. Dermaroller on the other hand is a very irritating feeling.

I use a 2.5mm stamp and it hurts, especially around the mouth and cheeks, even with a numbing cream. Guess everybody is different haha.
