I've been working on my Acne/Scars for 4 months now. So far had subscision and a session of dermarolling.

Obviously i see myself everyday so am not really noticing progress but here are aome before/afters so far! Planning more subscision and dermarolling. I think where my scar is I've actually lost tissue under the skin so i will need some sort of filler to plump it! Hoping to get this next month.

Yes, definite improvement. I know pictures aren't necessarily accurate bcs of angle/lighting, but your scars are hardly noticeable. And with your facial structure (you look ruggedly handsome) you probably can pull it off no problem. I wouldn't worry too much!

Hi all, Had TCA cross done this week by dr Chu as he didnt feel Sunscision was neccessary at the moment.

This is my further progress so far, im feeling slightly happier but still find myself searching for bad lights to see myself and be dissapointed.

Anyway.. Further progress, next steps?post-374044-0-48451000-1401991497_thumb.post-374044-0-46744100-1401991515_thumb.

Ps, still extremely tempted to get these excised! Could I do this?

God no.... don't get anything excised. What would you even cut out? I think you have good skin, please don't obsess and make a rash decision. In this case, I will say that you will almost 100% regret it.

Really? What makes you think that? Others experiences?

Just the two red lines essentially as under light they look like I've been circle punched by something!

Could I do anything to get rid of the red element? Its been there about 5p months now and still very red?

tca cross redness is gonna last another 4-6 months , i think you only have 1-2 scars i would just settle with it after tca cross if it goes well

people dont really care about it as much as you do but if youre a perfectionist then maybe for you it will i guess

Sorry may have mis explained, the redness before cross has always been there.. I'd like to try to lighten that?

Does TCA cross do anything as i haven't had any stabbing and nothing has changed apart from the fact the little box scars are more red?

I am going to be bluntly honest. Your skin looks awesome. I think you are far too hard on yourself. Excision can fail and cause much worse scarring. In your case, I see nothing to excise and it makes absolutely zero sense here. Why would you put yourself through this and risk real damage when your skin is nearly flawless? Have you considered counseling for BDD? I really see nothing wrong with your skin and think your are obsessing on minor flaws. Everyone has flaws. It is not fair to yourself to expect perfection.

Inspired, i do agree with you to a degree.

I think its lighting issues with me, is this something all Acne sufferers worry about?

See.. Below in a different light my scars look far different and in my eyes worse? Is this Lighting based?post-374044-0-96667900-1402045949_thumb.

@Leeman44, I just wanted to say that your skin looks amazing and I *personally* think there's no need for further treatments. It honestly looks fantastic.

Definitely progress for sure. I think you are on the right track with the subcisions. That will be a slower process vs instant gratification like fillers, but results from subcisions will most likely be permanent. Regardless, your scars are minor, so don't start entertaining things like excisions and aggressive resurfacing, because you may find at the end that it's unnecessary.

theres no way to reduce the redness from tca cross i have tried everything

only time works right now its about 3 months and a week and my tca cross redness faded by like 80% its almost gone maybe in 1-2 months

When I saw Dr Chu last week he refused to do subscision?

He told me the scars were no longer tethered and the issue was tiny boxcar scars (too small to see in camera) that make it look like subscision is needed.

He stretched my skin and said it sits perfectly so suggested TCA Cross a few times followed by Dermapen?

Hi all.

Had Subscision last week and Detmapen.

Got fillers on friday.. Question to you all firstly do you think he should fill the cheek area or just scar around mouth?

And any suggestion on type of filler? What do you guys think?

Still bruised as you can see
