Hi all,

Here's my dilemma. I'm on tretinoin (retin-a) to maintain active acne at bay, but I also want to get rid of the red marks. Is it possible for me to stop tretinoin, use laser to treat my marks, then go back on tretinoin again like 2-3 weeks later? Thanks.

Hi again. Why not try to incorporate AHA instead of laser. You've only recently begun to see results from retin A o be careful in taking a break and adding in new things. If it were me, i'd wait a few months of being CONSISTENTLY CLEAR before messing with your regimen

What kind of laser are you trying? Following fractional co2 laser, I waited a month before restarting retin-a but my treatment was aggressive. If you are referring to vbeam to treat red marks, then I would think you could restart retin-a much sooner but I would ask your doctor.
