Diary

I had Fraxel Restore performed by a plastic surgeon in NYC last Friday.

Levels: Penetration 26% and 70mj. Went over skin 8x.

Cost: $800 for my neck and both cheeks. Consult was $150 but waived when I elected for the treatment.

I was recommended to buy some creams which came out to about $100.

Service: Top notch, great facility and staff, great atmosphere.

In truth they could treat me like crap as long as a I get results I don't care. lol

Day 1

The procedure took 10 minutes tops. Dr said i handled it well, thought it would be more painful then

what it was. Face was definitely swollen and some redness. It is kind of strange and cool not

to see the same scars that I had on my skin for the past 10 years. I have no plans to leave the house

today and thankfully cause my face is noticeable swollen.

Day 2
Skin is a little swollen. Red like some bad sunburn and some flaking.
Been using their expensive cream and aloe Vera for healing and
soothing. It's not really warm. I know it's early but I can't see the
scars. Just the indentation on my right cheek. I know as the swelling
and redness goes away I'll see the scars but I won't lie I'm hoping I'm wrong lol

Day 3

Face is really red, more so then yesterday. For whatever reason it
appears more red on my left side of my face. The texture on both sides
still looks good but I can start seeing my old scars. Possibly due to
the redness my left side still looks good. There's some flaking no
pain. I been working but I have school this week definitely a little
conscious about my face right now lol. All in all I'm still hopefully
that I will see results. I'm going back in a few weeks but I would
like to be able to walk around in public without the redness and
flacking.

Day 4

Face is no longer swollen. Still slightly red. Just mostly flaky. I
can see just about all my old scars again. Kind of sad about that but
I knew I would. The doctor who did it basically said I will not see
results first time. The texture seems to be improved. I guess best way
to describe is that my skin feels sanded down.

Side note they sent me a personalized thank you card, handwritten,

with a $50 gift card to be used on treatment or products for my next visit.

I found this to be a great gesture.

I will try to update as much as possible. I will try to answer any questions that I can.

I plan on doing 4-6 treatments at 3 weeks apart. I want to have them all done before

summer due to school, vacations, and possibly a new job.

I have don't some research on this board and haven't read anything bad. I have read results can show improvements in the range of 20-40% which is what my Dr told me. This is after 5/6 treatments. Also it appears many people are mixing up repair and restore.

Either way I will try it. I will try to journal a very accurate and honest assessment of my treatments so many people who are interested in this treatment will learn something.

Day 6

My face is starting to go back to pre laser. Meaning all my previous marks, scars, and spots are visible. I was warned of this never the less I as hoping to maybe see some improvement off the first treatment.

Some areas of my skin still has some redness from the laser, but its very light.

Knock on wood the texture does look improvement, my skins feels smoother and it looks it as well. In terms of actual scars no improvement. Hopefully after the 3rd treatment the improvements should be visible.

Bio - I have pictures in the gallery.
