I need help. So I had a nasty cyst a few months back and disappeared on its own. The bad news is that it left a big purple mark and it seems like some skin was damaged. Like when I run over the mark with my finger I can feel it go down. Practically it's like a hole. Is this a scar? Or is it part of the healing process? Please help me. Thanks
sounds like to me that its some hyperpigmentation with an actually indent scar from the trauma. The color will go away naturally with time- just make sure to wear spf or limit sun exposure so it doesnt redarken! Now the texture of the skin wont go away naturally. Ive heard people get procedures done by a derm or plastic surgeon to smooth out the surface of the skin.
